Maize Flour is fine and light texture can be used in corn bread, very famous Makki do Roti, multi-grain recipes, deep-fry batters and in any recipe that uses corn flour meal. Its major use is in making Mexican Tortilla, Tacos and Nachos. Always store maize flour in a cool, dry, dark place.
Do you want to make your own Tortillas?
Ingredients: 2 Cups of Organic Corn Flour 1/2 Tea Spoon of Salt 3/4 Cup of water 3 Table Spoons Olive Oil
Directions: 1. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir in water and oil. Turn onto a floured surface; knead 10-12 times, adding a little flour or water if needed to achieve a smooth dough. Let rest for 10 minutes.
2. Divide dough into 8 portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 7-in. circle.
3. In a greased cast-iron or other heavy skillet, cook tortillas over medium heat until lightly browned, 1 minute on each side. Serve warm.
